I have often reflected on the statement, You can't pick your family - but with in laws, you kind of can. Over the years I have discovered how grateful I am both for the family I couldn't choose and the family I did choose by marrying Dave.
We recently had a chance to visit with our extended family on the Stiner side for a double birthday bash which was a lot of fun.
I was able to convince Dave this was not the best hairdo to celebrate the birthday's... I think he was channeling the guy from Pirates of the Caribbean, luckily he laughed and made it normal!!
The kids had a Pirate Party, and Myka had an adorable Pink Pirate Theme Cake:
Jeremiah did a more traditional pirate theme and had yummy brownies rather then a traditional cake:
After the party was over Ryker drove us all home! :)
